Our Story

Dead of Night Distillery began far from Los Angeles, in the quiet of the desert beneath a wide sky of stars. Around a campfire, with whiskey bottles being passed and music playing softly, the conversation turned to what we would create if we had a distillery of our own. We talked about the spirits we loved, the ones we wished existed, and the kind of company we wanted to build. As the fire burned down to embers and the night stretched on, an idea began to take shape. By the time the stars started to fade, that idea had become something real. It was born, as our name suggests, in the dead of night.

What started as a dream shared among friends has grown into a working distillery in the heart of Los Angeles. Dead of Night is an independent producer focused on making small batches of spirits that capture the character of California while also pushing into new territory. We create gins, amaros, and seasonal releases that carry the flavors of our region but also reflect our curiosity and love of experimentation. Every spirit we make is crafted with intention and built to be shared around a table, a fire, or a bar.

From the beginning we knew Dead of Night would be about more than spirits alone.
